Cookie policy

Last updated:

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies the İZY Dentiste website uses, what they are for, how long they are kept and how you can make your choices. It supplements our Privacy policy.

What are cookies and similar technologies?

A cookie is a small file placed in your browser by a website. Other techniques work in a similar way, such as the browser's local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage). In this policy, we refer to all of them as "cookies and similar technologies".

Our principles

- Without your consent, we only use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary for the website to work or for a feature you have requested yourself. - Audience measurement cookies and advertising cookies are only set after you agree, separately for each of these two categories. Refusing is as easy as accepting, and refusing has no effect on your access to the website or our forms. - Your choice is kept for 13 months if you accepted at least one category, and for 6 months if you refused everything; you are then asked again. You can change it at any time.

Necessary and functional technologies (no consent required)

These are set by our own website and are not used to track you on other websites.

izy_consent — local storage Purpose: records your choices for the "Audience measurement" and "Advertising" categories (accepted or refused for each) and the date of those choices, so that you are not asked again on every page. Duration: 13 months if at least one category is accepted; 6 months if everything is refused.

NEXT_LOCALE — cookie Purpose: remembers the language you chose in the language selector. Duration: 12 months.

izy_attribution — session storage Purpose: keeps the landing page, the referring website (address without parameters) and, where applicable, the parameters of the campaign link you used (utm_*, gclid, fbclid). This information only leaves your browser if you submit a request form, in which case it is attached to your request. Duration: deleted when you close the tab or browser.

izy_popup_* (* = announcement identifier) — local and session storage Purpose: avoids showing you again an announcement (for example a consultation tour) that you have already seen or closed. Contains only a "seen" flag or the date you closed it. Duration: session storage deleted when the browser is closed; local storage kept until you clear the site data.

izy_preview_banner_dismissed — local storage Purpose: remembers that you closed the "Preview" banner shown while the website is being prepared. Duration: until you clear the site data.

izy_admin_session — cookie Purpose: keeps team members signed in to the administration area. It is not set for website visitors. Duration: the length of the work session (a few hours).

Audience measurement (with your consent)

If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) to measure traffic and the performance of our pages: pages viewed, clicks on call or WhatsApp buttons, form submissions (without their content), etc. No data that directly identifies you (name, phone, e-mail) is sent to Google Analytics.

As long as you have accepted neither audience measurement nor advertising, the Google tag is not loaded: no connection is made to Google for these purposes and no cookies are set. If you accept audience measurement, Google Analytics sets the following cookies:

_ga — cookie Purpose: distinguishes visitors for statistical purposes. Duration: up to 13 months.

_ga_9G5JYBZT49 — cookie Purpose: keeps the state of your visit session. Duration: up to 13 months.

Google may process this data outside the European Union, in particular in the United States. Learn more: policies.google.com/privacy.

Advertising (with your consent)

If you accept the "Advertising" category, we use Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) to measure the effectiveness of our ads, i.e. to know whether a visit or request follows a click on one of them. The related advertising features of Google Analytics (Google Signals) are only enabled in that case.

Cookies set by our website (first party):

_gcl_au — cookie Purpose: links conversions (for example a request being sent) to Google Ads ads. Duration: up to 13 months.

_gcl_aw — cookie Purpose: stores the Google Ads click identifier (gclid) when you arrive from an ad. Duration: up to 13 months.

_gcl_gb, _gcl_ag, _gcl_dc — cookies Purpose: store other Google advertising click identifiers (gbraid, wbraid, Display Network ads). Duration: up to 13 months.

_gac_* — cookie Purpose: links Google Ads campaign data to Google Analytics audience measurement. Duration: 90 days.

Cookies set by Google (third party, doubleclick.net and google.com domains) — these are Google's own cookies and their durations are set by Google:

IDE — ad measurement and delivery — about 13 months. test_cookie — checks whether your browser accepts cookies — 15 minutes. NID — Google preferences and security, ad measurement — about 6 months. ar_debug — diagnostics for conversion reporting — about 3 months.

If you accept only one category

We use Google's "consent mode". If you accept only one of the two categories (audience measurement or advertising), the Google tag is loaded for the accepted category. For the refused category, it neither sets nor reads any cookies, but it may send Google signals without cookies or persistent identifiers (for example: a page was viewed, a conversion occurred, your consent choice), together with the technical information inherent in any connection (IP address, browser type). Google states that it uses these signals to produce aggregated statistical estimates.

If you refuse both categories, the Google tag is not loaded at all and no signals are sent.

Third-party content

Google Maps map (contact page): the map is only loaded if you click the button provided for this purpose. Once it is loaded, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies under its privacy policy. Without this click, no connection is made to Google Maps.

Instagram feed (footer): when it is displayed, the images of our latest posts are loaded from Meta's servers, which then receive your IP address and technical information about your browser.

Links to WhatsApp, Instagram, Google Maps and other websites: when you click them, you leave our website and the service concerned applies its own cookie rules.

Managing your choices

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse audience measurement cookies and advertising cookies separately, with equally prominent buttons. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw consent for a category, the corresponding cookies are no longer set, and if you withdraw both, the Google tag is no longer loaded. Cookies already set can be deleted in your browser.

You can also: - delete cookies and site data in your browser settings; - set your browser to block cookies (some features, such as remembering your language, may then stop working); - use private browsing, in which case the data is deleted when you close the window.
