Ceramic Veneers

Veneers are recommended to improve minor imperfections of the teeth such as color, stains on the teeth, shape, and size of the teeth. The Hollywood smile effect can be created with veneers: they cover the front surface of the teeth, thus creating perfect aesthetics. If the teeth are discolored, placing veneers is the best solution to make them white and bright, and the result will be permanent; the shade will not change over time.

To place veneers, the tooth needs to be prepared (approximately 1 mm of the front surface of the tooth is filed down).

There are 2 types of veneers: zirconia ceramic and pure Emax ceramic. The ceramic and zirconia used are from the Vita brand (Germany).

Zirconium veneers are thin, light, and aesthetic. Thanks to the zirconia base, these veneers are durable.

Emax veneers are also aesthetic, offering a natural and refined result, but they are slightly more fragile (they do not contain any base; they are made of pure ceramic).

Veneers are best suited for the central teeth – 6 or 8 front teeth. If, for example, more teeth need to be redone (e.g., 10 or 12 teeth in the jaw or all teeth), veneers are used for the front teeth and dental crowns for the back teeth (crowns are more durable and more suitable for the posterior teeth).

It should be noted that veneers are not well-suited for teeth that are not well-aligned; in these cases, crowns should also be chosen to correct the position and alignment of the teeth.

Veneers are not well-suited for misaligned teeth. In these cases, it is preferable to opt for crowns in order to correct the position and alignment of the teeth.

Types of Veneers: There are two types of veneers: Zirconia Ceramic Veneers:

  • Thin, light, and aesthetic.
  • Durable thanks to their zirconia base.
  • Made with high-quality materials from the Vita brand (Germany). Pure Emax Ceramic Veneers:
  • Natural and refined result.
  • More fragile because they do not contain a zirconia base (entirely made of pure ceramic). When to Use Veneers? Veneers are particularly suitable for the central teeth – generally 6 to 8 front teeth. If you wish to redo more teeth (for example, 10 to 12 teeth or the entire jaw), it is recommended to use veneers for the front teeth and dental crowns for the back teeth. Crowns are more durable and better suited for the posterior teeth. Limitations of Veneers: Veneers are not well-suited for misaligned teeth. In these cases, it is preferable to opt for crowns in order to correct the position and alignment of the teeth. Why Choose Ceramic Veneers?
